What are you reading?

If you love children's books with great illustrations, two books we recently read that we enjoyed were "Animals Are Sleeping" by Suzanne Slade and "Baby Dragon" by Amy Ehrlich (which is also a GREAT book for working moms' children).

We're also reading The Voyages of Dr. Doolittle right now! We try to read 2 chapters a day. Sometimes I think Jaden isn't listening but then after we're done she'll start talking about things in the book. We're both enjoying this book a lot and I think a lot of that has to do with how discriptive this book is! You can easily close your eyes and put yourself right into the story.

I'm nearly done with Heart and Hands (a midwifery text) and I have Ina May Gaskin's Spiritual Midwifery sitting on my desk. I just returned 3 vegetarian cookbooks and I have 1 more sitting here as well. But I'm looking forward to checking out some vegan cookbooks next. Another book I have (but have yet to open) is PeeWee Pilates. I'll be sure to give reviews after I finish that one!

My favorite thing to do is log into my account on my library's website online and then save books in my "list" and check books out that way. Then, when I show up at the library a few days later, all my books are waiting for me. I'm not the type that likes to browse books while I'm there. So, what are you reading?

I loved that feature at my last library. I know tons of moms who check out books that way. Current library will only do it if they aren't on the shelf! :( Much harder on moms to have to go get books themselves.

That is how I do with my library too...I love it! Let's see, right now I am reading "Childbirth Without Fear" (not really getting into it though), "Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day" and "Help Me, I'm Married" by Joyce Meyer.

We just started the Chronicles of Narnia "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" last night. I'm only reading one chapter at a time and Cameron was like, "Uh, read more?" I said, "Uh, no, go to bed" He wasn't happy!
