I'm sorry, but this kind of thinking scares the crap out of me. Really. Picking a date, setting a date, and having the tools to decimate all mankind at any given moment - it's not about God or a heavenly being. It's not even about the underworld or the Antichrist. It's about people making poor decisions for themselves and, indeed, all life on Earth.
Humans are animals. We are of the earth, part of Earth. Through a miracle, sure, we arose, but through our own creation of fear and violence we will succumb, not because of a date on a calendar, or the religions we choose, but because of the violence with which humans choose to enforce those religions, and the way we choose to live our lives.
