Creating Memories...

At the baptism of Jeff's half brother Derick (in the white) and my friend from bookclub (in the pink). Praise God! Jeff said this baptism in particular meant a lot to him, because he was the same age as Derick when he gave his life to Christ and he remembers praying so hard for Derick as a kid, and an adult. Now seeing Derick choose to follow as Jeff did, and follow the Lord himself, really was a special moment for Jeff. Thank you Adonai for revealing yourself to these people we care for and for them choosing to follow you, obey you, and live their life for the one true God, our Savior Yeshua the Messiah! Amen!

Fresh out of the bath, cuddling with her favorite little Monkey.

Letter of the Week is "B". I trimmed the edges and cut the stripes from between the open spots of the "B" for her, but she did the rest!

At WestEnd Park earlier last week.

We read books about Earth Day and then she said she wanted to draw Earth. So I made the circle and she did the rest! Pretty impressive!

"B" is for butterfly! She enjoyed this one because she was able to use her hands in the paint! After that she did a few more finger painting pictures.

Someone fell asleep in the sling on our walk back home from the library! Jaden and I have matching hair that day too, hahaha :)

Reading some board books before bed...

What started off as a pretty little pictures of Jaden modeling Davin's bib....

Quickly turned into this weird child!!! LOL I think she gets that from her Grandpa Long (my dad!)

Like father, like son...

My cousin in law's baby girl, Kaiya who is 11 months.

Jeff is so enamored by him :)

Yesterday we went to Jaden's little cousin Emma's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. Emma is the blonde one in a blue dress and white shirt. All the other children are cousins too.

At Heritage Park's water fountains after the party yesterday. Davin crawled right over a sprayer as it sprayed and it got him in the face!!! Poor guy, it all happened so fast! He was ok- he was stunned and didn't do anything for a minute, but then he cried :( Thankfully, within a minute he wanted back down to play again.

I made some yummy food this week. One thing I tried, that I wasn't impressed with, was a recipe for Spiced Carrot Muffins. They turned out really really bland. Next time, I'll look for a recipe with a bit more sweetener and spices. I also tried something simple, yet effective. Effective because it was using items I aleady had in the house and items that were getting close to their "eat by" date, and lastly effective in that it was GOOD! And that was, boiling some spiral noodles, dumping a bag of frozen veggies in the cooked noodles (after they're strained), shredded cheese on top and letting it melt and adding some seasoning salt. Jeff added a can of cream of chicken and some tuna to his. Easy, cheap, and good. I attempted to make twise baked potatos last week but after scraping out the insides of the potatoes, the skins fell flat. So I decided to mash up the potatoes with some cheese, olives, garlic, and jalepenos, and throw them in the an oven safe container and twise bake them like that. Then took the skins and covered them with seasoning salt and cheese and let those twise bake. ummmm DELICIOUS! WOW, I will be doing that again after we grocery shop next week! We ate a total of 9lbs of strawberries last week! And that was easy! If I could afford more, we would have consumed more, lol. I have a few new recipes I'll be trying out here in the next week and I'll let you know how those go. For now, I must get off the computer so I can make deviled eggs and potato salad for a BBQ we're going to tonight with friends. My friends are so cool, they are actually making ME nut burgers while the rest of them have meat burgers!!!! Have a good day!

loved all your photos, especially the sleeping in the carrier ones. :) kids can fall asleep the craziest places and in the (seemingly) most uncomortable positions.
